For many veterinary clinics, advanced diagnostics can become a bottleneck in patient care. You suspect a nasal tumor, spinal injury, adrenal mass, or complex dental disease, but confirming it requires CT imaging. Then comes the difficult conversation with the client:

“The nearest available scan could be weeks away.”
Unfortunately, that delay affects treatment decisions, surgical timing, and patient outcomes.
At East Hill Animal Hospital in Pensacola, our goal is straightforward. We provide veterinarians and their clients with fast, ultra-high-definition CT scans within days and even the same day for critical cases.
Clinics are discovering this is not just a Pensacola resource.
Veterinary clinics and hospitals throughout the region, including Mobile, Prichard, Saraland, and Daphne in Alabama; Foley and Crestview in Florida; and Pascagoula, Biloxi, and Gulfport in Mississippi, can now refer patients to our animal hospital because faster answers often matter more than distance.
A Referral Support Imaging Center

East Hill Animal Hospital’s imaging program is structured to support primary veterinarians, clinics, and hospitals. Your client remains your client. Our hospital provides diagnostic imaging and sends results back to the referring veterinarian.
Referrals are handled so that everything flows through the referring veterinarian. This preserves relationships and continuity of care.
High Definition Volumetric Imaging (HDVI)

The hospital’s Vimago™ GT30 system delivers ultra-high-resolution 2D and 3D CT, fluoroscopy, and digital radiology on a single platform.
This is not only clearer imaging. It expands diagnostic capability.
Resolution images can reach 0.09 mm, approximately the thickness of a human hair, allowing evaluation at multiple angles, thicknesses, and orientations.
Conditions Frequently Identified

Our state-of-the-art CT scanner detects conditions that are difficult or impossible to confirm with standard radiographs or ultrasound:
- Brain tumors
- Insulinomas
- Urethral masses
- Megaesophagus and hiatal hernias using fluoroscopy
- Oral and nasal masses
- Jaw fractures
- Advanced dental disease
Speed Matters

Many imaging centers operate on backlog scheduling, and getting in for a scan can take weeks.
East Hill operates differently.
Emergency scans are often the same day.
Routine CT cases are scheduled during the week.
For clinics in surrounding cities, a one to two-hour drive is often preferable to a three-week delay.
That is why we are accepting referrals not only from the immediate Pensacola area, but also:
Alabama
Mobile, Prichard, Saraland, Daphne, Foley
Florida
Crestview and Northwest Florida communities
Mississippi
Pascagoula, Biloxi, Gulfport
Workflow for Referring Veterinarians

Our process is streamlined and efficient:
- Clinic calls to schedule
- Recent bloodwork confirmed or performed onsite.
- Patient anesthetized with propofol and maintained on gas anesthesia.
- Imaging performed
- Radiologist interpretation
- Results returned to the referring veterinarian.
There is no transfer of the client relationship. The referring veterinarian directs treatment decisions.
Why Faster Imaging Improves Care

It’s very simple. Earlier imaging helps decision-making and reduces the worry of the unknown.
- Oncology staging before surgery
- Neurology helps determine medical versus surgical treatment
- Dentistry differentiates root abscess from sinus disease
- Internal medicine can confirm masses before surgery
- Orthopedics improves surgical planning
Earlier diagnosis reduces unnecessary treatment and improves confidence.
A Regional Diagnostic Resource

Advanced imaging once meant traveling to a university hospital or waiting weeks for specialty scheduling.
Many Gulf Coast clinics now treat East Hill as a crucial regional imaging resource, which is often more affordable than other options.
