World-Class Pet Imaging: Now at East Hill Animal Hospital
Remarkable Ultra-high-resolution 3D/2D CT, Fluoroscopy, and Digital Radiology
East Hill Animal Hospital in Pensacola has always been interested in the latest advanced and affordable diagnostics to provide a higher level of care to benefit our patients.
When we first discovered the new Vimagoâ„¢ GT30 High-Resolution Volumetric Imaging (HDVI) machine, we knew we had to bring it to our Pensacola and Northwest Florida veterinarian community.
It’s remarkable and delivers ultra-high-resolution 2D/3D CT, fluoroscopy, and digital radiology to provide our veterinarian colleagues and clients with timely and accurate answers.
With this new technology, we’re able to detect brain tumors, insulinomas, urethral masses not seen on ultrasound or radiographs, megaesophagus and hiatal hernias with the fluoroscopy setting, many oral and nasal masses, jaw fractures, dental disease, and more. We send our images to a board-certified radiologist.
For emergency cases, we can usually see patients on the same day and are available every Monday through Friday for regular CT cases.
If you’re a veterinarian colleague referring a case to us, we know your clients are yours – and you’ve worked hard to build their trust. We’re here to help you with your clients.
For our referring vets, we will list your patient under your animal hospital as the “client” in our system. We do not need detailed information on your client; we only send personal communication to the patient regarding consent forms and post-procedure care. We will send you the information as soon as we have it. You are the client; they are the patient.
We’ll need to have recent blood work (we can also do it), and the patient will be placed under general anesthesia. We use IV catheters, anesthetize with propofol, and maintain on-gas anesthesia. Most animals are under anesthesia for less than 20 minutes from start to finish.
